Associate Director Customer Demand Configuration (CDC) and Product Catalogue Lead
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Our company is the world leader in Identification & Traceability solutions for Livestock Animals. The ID Global Product Catalog and Customer Demand Configuration (CDC) Lead is a newly created role that will shape and define the future of Customer Services our Global Product Portfolio for our customers across all commercial regions, at global level.
Our company works with customers & stakeholders across the livestock food chain to provide identification and traceability solutions helping to underpin consumers’ confidence in the food they eat. We employ a range of Go to Market models resulting in a wide-range of customer-types that includes national & regional government bodies, traceability schemes, integrated livestock producers, food retailers, distributors and farmers.
Reporting to the newly appointed Global Lead for Livestock ID Solutions, the ideal candidate will be an advocate of a customer centric organization and excellence in all aspects of customer services.
The successful candidate will also be a key functional partner for the local commercial operations, requiring close liaison and working relationships with all Regional Commercial ID Leads, country management teams and local Customer Service Department leads.
PRINCIPAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preliminary definition of CDCs: A Customer Demand Configuration (CDC) is a precise description of final product, tailored to customers’ expectations. It includes for instance information on tag printing, accompanying documents and specifications of packaging, but also the structure itself of the order file.
- Leading and managing the governance and processes to create and use Customer Demand Configurations (CDCs) across all Customers Services & Sales Administration teams based anywhere in the world:
- Helps defining ways of working, workflows, SOPs or anything related to CDCs establishment and maintenance.
- Helps standardize CDCs.
- Accomplishes the appropriate onboarding and training for customer services employees in relation to the points above.
- Participates in Master Data management/sustainment/structure. Participates in its governance.
- Contributes to drive adoption of eCommerce & Digital order-processing in-line with objectives of Project Tetris (integration of ID business into our business systems ecosystem, i.e. Atlas SAP).
- Participates in implementing customer-service standards.
- Audits customer service procedures and trends and determines system improvements in relation to CDCs and Global Product Catalogue, in close relationship with the leaders of these Customer Services.
- Determines customer service requirements for CDCs by maintaining contact with Tag Printing Software (TPS) team, SAP IT team, manufacturing team, supply chain team and visiting operational environments.
- Collaborates with R&D product managers and Global Marketing innovation manager to input data into the Catalogue tool.
- Supports Global ID team in management of the Global ID Portfolio, assisting with communication of major changes in the Catalogue of global ID solutions (UINs) and the consequences of these changes (eg phasing out in case of rationalization) to various stakeholders, incl manufacturing, supply chain and commercial teams.
- Liaises with other relevant internal departments, e.g. Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, R&D (where relevant) and ID Marketing/Commercial operations for the above.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Background & Education:
- Minimum a Bachelor or equivalent degree in e.g. marketing, finance, business, engineering.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have a minimum of five years of combined work experience in the field of customer services or supply chain or manufacturing in connection with those functions.
- An experienced or potential team leader in a fast-moving goods manufacturing environment.
- Must have proven experience in managing projects and implementing change with success (change management).
- Must be a self-starter that takes pride in their work product and is focused on delivering results.
- Demonstrate a forward thinking, agile and strategic approach.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a changing environment.
- Ability to quickly develop positive relationships with internal and external partners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (& French is a real plus). Additional languages, e.g. German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish are advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of SAP, preferably customization solutions, would be a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to occasionally travel overnight. Travel estimated at approximately 10% of the time, including the potential for international travel.
- The role is based at the ID facility in Vitré, Brittany, France or in one of the significant ID manufacturing plants in Europe.
