Mark had enjoyed a long-standing career of selling, designing and implementing best business application-based solutions for tier one companies all over the world. It’s a role he loves. He gets a real buzz out of ensuring the technical solutions he creates deliver the business value that the client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver and implement Dynamics 365 F&O (AX) modules internationally.
  2. Deliver high-quality business and software application services to clients.
  3. Create high-quality and sustainable client solutions.
  4. Deliver all consultancy according to the HSO Project Methodology, ensuring that all software applications are implemented successfully according to the project plan.
  5. Measure customer expectations of business knowledge, skills and behaviour.
  6. Identify business/project risk and mitigate or communicate as necessary.
  7. Communicate progress updates to relevant parties both formally and informally.
  8. Participation in pre-sales activities as requested.
  9. Always represent HSO International professionally and positively.
  10. Advise customers on industries’ best practices proactively rather than passively.

HSO International - Enterprise Architect

Enterprise Architect HSO International seeks to hire an experienced Enterprise Architect with domain knowledge and technical expertise to align technology with business strategy, using Microsoft and third-party solutions for added value.

Role Location: Based where appropriate, whether on the client site, in the office or working from home. Travel will be extensive and varied. Spending some time in the office developing relationships in-house with the rest of HSO International, keeping abreast of business developments, and understanding the company’s approach to the market will be required.

Job Description

Enterprise Architect will be responsible for driving customer business transformation. This role involves:

  1. Leading and supporting pre-sales activities, engaging with C-level executives and crafting business transformation proposals aligned with the business strategy.
  2. Conducting envisioning discovery workshops and architecture design workshops.
  3. Making technology choices aligned with architectural requirements.
  4. Preparing and defining enterprise architecture design, guiding business transformation and business-value approach.
  5. Providing support in program/project delivery, working alongside Solution Architects and delivery teams.
  6. Understanding the customer's operational landscape and leveraging it for architecture validation.
  7. Staying informed about evolving business technology trends to shape long-term strategic roadmaps and the feasibility of these in supporting our customers.
  8. Optimizing business processes for greater efficiency and effective technology deployment.
  9. Undertaking business process design and documentation.
  10. Facilitating agile, innovative projects alongside the main program.
  11. Maintaining a professional and positive representation of HSO.
  12. Complying with health and safety policies and equipment care requirements.
  13. Meeting necessary certifications and accreditations for the role.
  14. Developing and updating internal tools and best practice content.

In this space, technology is always evolving. And so, clients’ needs are, too. Luckily, Mark is clearly someone who likes living out the old adage that ‘variety is the spice of life’. When asked to sum up his day-to-day role, he smiles and says: “It’s not a job where one day is the same as the next. You need to have an appetite to jump into the unknown.”

And that means understanding clients’ worlds beyond the technical brief. Mark believes that a wider understanding of their sectors’ challenges and opportunities is important: it helps get under the skin of what they need to achieve for business success.

So, a hunger for ongoing learning is key. As is the ability to relate and connect to people at all levels of an organisation. And, given that HSO is a truly global company with global clients and colleagues, being able to motivate and encourage people from different cultures and countries is crucial.
