How will you shape our tomorrow

Within the Group Human Resources Department, the Talent Development and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) team is responsible for deploying standards to attract, retain and develop our talents worldwide. These standards are designed to embed inclusion at their core.

As HR Project Apprentice, you will support the team in shaping the future of our global workforce. You will contribute to initiatives enhancing our talent management practices, ensuring that our people strategies are aligned with Sonepar’s vision and values. You will participate in initiatives that attract, develop, and retain top talent, while also advancing our commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace. What success looks like

Success in this role is defined by your ability to:

  • Support key projects: Assist in the adoption of the new global leadership model, ensuring smooth implementation and consistent application across all regions.
  • Advance D&I goals: Help develop and launch comprehensive D&I roadmaps for 2026, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and contribute to reporting progress to ensure our D&I goals are met.
  • Manage the GEEIS (Gender Equality European and International standard) renewal audit: Gather data and key achievements to shape the renewal audit presentation, ensuring involvement from key stakeholders.
  • Enhance employee engagement: Contribute to fostering a culture of inclusion by supporting the adoption of Sonepar’s Employee Resource Group (ERG). Monitor success metrics to measure participants’ engagement.
  • Strengthen talent development: Contribute to launching the performance campaign to improve adoption, ensuring all relevant resources are available.

The experience you bring

You are preparing a second year of Master’s degree. You have a degree with a specialization in HR and/or a particular interest in talent management and/or diversity & inclusion.

To excel in this role, you will bring:

  • Project management skills: Ability to monitor projects progress, to manage stakeholders’ contributions and ensure timeliness delivery.
  • Critical thinking: Ability to think long term and help the team shape strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Diversity & Inclusion awareness: Knowledge of D&I principles, a first experience in this field is appreciated.
  • Talent Development interest: A keen interest or a first experience in supporting talent development processes.
  • Diverse perspective: A keen interest to work in an international environment and navigate cultural differences.
  • Communication skills: Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
