Datadog is strengthening the EMEA HR Compliance team (based in France) by seeking a Compliance Specialist for the Southern EMEA region (France, Spain, Portugal and Italy). You will join the People team and service as a subject-matter expert on EMEA Employment & Labor law and HR compliance matters. This position reports to the Manager, HR Compliance EMEA, and will partner closely with People Business Partners, Datadog Employment Counsels, and Center of Expertise (CoE) functions (Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management, Compensation, Learning & Development, HRIS…).

What You’ll Do:
- Provide advice and support to all relevant internal teams on Labor & Employment related matters (including labour relations and collective matters) for the Southern EMEA region
- Be the dedicated point of contact for Employee Relations Cases and Accommodations for France, Spain, Portugal and Italy, including managing complex and sensitive topics, advising and supporting the People Business Partners and the business
- Actively participate in the ongoing mapping of EMEA requirements, in the identification of changes in the legal landscape and in the implementation of the EMEA Compliance Policy in conjunction with relevant stakeholders
- Be involved or managing cross people projects and initiatives, participate in the making and reviewing of Global policies
- Proactively identify opportunities for remediation or mitigation actions and practice or process improvements, always in an attempt to achieve full Compliance in the EMEA region.
Datadog EMEA currently has 12 Datadog entities, and 8 countries through PEOs.
Who You Are:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in fast-paced and international environments
- Solid legal education and legal analysis skills with the ability to be a problem solver
- Strong advisory and communication (written and oral) skills ; proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build trusted relationships
- Detail oriented and organised with balanced and sound decision-making ability
- Track record of successfully juggling and executing multiple projects, deadlines and priorities in autonomy
- Fluent in English and French, another language (especially Spanish or Portuguese) is a plus
