Today, the company is launching a new strategic plan: the Partnership Growth Management. The PGM is the evolution of Sysco’s Category Management processes and represents a new approach to how Sysco partners with suppliers in all categories across their business.
In this context, the company is creating new roles that will allow Sysco to better manage its sales and margins. This newly created role will focus on leading the International team of Project Managers and Insight Analysts, including the coordination of project plans that will deliver the execution of International Merchandising initiatives across diverse teams (e.g.: Procurement, Merchandising, Category Management, Commercial sales). You will be responsible for the delivery of global projects offering better buying and selling solutions.
You will report to the Director of International Merchandising (Europe).
The key responsibilities include:
Developing the strategic vision for projects
- Act as lead project manager and own projects from initial opportunity analysis to implementation.
- Partner with International teams and in-country resources to turn priorities and goals into strategies, structured plans, and roadmaps with actionable initiatives.
- Prepare and structure projects within the team: define objectives, projects, initiatives, contributors, detailed roadmap, change management, etc.
- Identify and implement opportunities to further leverage 3rd party tools.
- Oversee, develop, and deploy new tools and technologies as needed to support the role.
Lead the execution of projects improving the use of data
- Identify resources, assign work, and mobilise resources within the team effectively, prioritising as needed and launch projects.
- Maintain, build, and improve reporting dashboards to provide powerful data analysis in an easy and quickly accessible way to category teams, commercial teams, and suppliers.
- Lead the creation of solutions to allow future revenue to be driven from the data analysis/dashboards, such as through commercialising the data analysis with vendors.
- Lead in the development, maintenance and enhancement/optimization of reports and tools to support critical projects within the commercial teams (such as: sourcing events, “PGM waves” or tenders, lotting, commercial sales opportunity analysis, supply chain/route to market optimisation analysis, Category and Assortment (range) Management/SKU rationalisation) both locally in-country and at a region level. - Improve usability of Sysco’s data sources and lead/drive long-term growth both for Sysco’s internal data management and the effective analysis of that data centrally and in-country.
International collaboration & coordination
- Manage and lead a team of 5 people (Project Managers and Insights Analysts) to drive both functions.
- Work in partnership with the Head of Commercial Activists as part of the greater team to ensure analytics and project management resource work effectively alongside the Activist function as one partner team.
- Collaborate with Sysco’s global PGM and project management teams and resources to share best practices for implementation across International Merchandising teams.
The core skills for this role are the following:
- An extensive experience driving forward growth strategy initiatives across large International/FMCG or food service organization.
- Excellent organizational & time management skills.
- Strong understanding of Insight Analysis tools.
This role is a critical position within Sysco’s “Partnership Growth Management” project across the International markets. In this new position, you will work in a dynamic and international environment. You will ensure the Insight team are building accurate, useful, powerful and easy to use dashboards and to build category strategies, which will drive a healthy revenue stream.
