As Head of HR Operations, you report into the VP People.

Your team is the core of the people team as it encapsulates the fundamentals (payroll, admin & compliance) that enable a compliant and smooth scale, as well as key projects that contribute directly to ensure a great experience at Pennylane (France and Europe).

People Management:

  • As a People manager, you are responsible for supporting your team (3 people operations specialists and 1 Workplace manager) throughout their employee journey (onboarding, day-to-day management, career development).
  • You are also responsible for the growth, orchestration and development of your team.
  • You communicate the company vision and drive engagement for your team.
  • You embody and deliver the People Ops team vision & mission.
  • You frame the team’s job, set and share the rules, prioritize, handle the workload and delegate appropriately.
  • You create career development opportunities for your team and coach individuals towards success.

Project and Program Management:

  • Audit existing processes and propose an HR operations roadmap.
  • Embody the HR Operations department internally and help managers develop their skills.
  • Pull out and analyse People-related data for legal reporting purposes.
  • Deploy our first compensation & benefits program.
  • Be responsible for internationalization ops strategy.
  • Create the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project.
  • Be responsible for the administrative management of the training program.

Responsibilities People Operations Execution:

  • Deliver high-end HR systems management, supporting our employees.
  • Secure the best employee experience for day-to-day HR queries.
  • Build and nurture strong collaboration with the People Partners.
  • Be responsible for the entire HR tools stack.

Employee Relations, Compliance and legal advisory:

  • Organize, facilitate and lead employee relation activities.
  • Run regular legal watch to maintain compliance.
  • Make sure documentation is in order and available to stakeholders.
  • Support L1 legal advisory and contribute to further advising.

People experience (office / event / remote):

  • Be in charge of our EVP strategy.
  • Be responsible for maintaining our Head Quarter (We Work).
  • Be a driving force behind the improvement of office-related projects.
  • Design the internal events strategy.
  • Propose a full remote experience.

To sum up, in this role you will:

  • Manage and grow a team of 4 people.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding administrative support.
  • Ensure first level of support to Pennylane employees.
  • Closely work with other People teams.
  • Automate and streamline processes leveraging our current tools.
  • Ensure we are compliant in all the international regions.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed.

Requirements for this role are:

  • Fluent in both English and French.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a management position.
  • Experience in Compensation and benefits.
  • At ease with dealing with an international scope.
  • Legal knowledge (CSE, "accords", compliance…).
  • Experience in project management.
  • Data Driven.
  • Autonomy, rigor.
  • Great sense of confidentiality.
  • Customer centric.

The interviewing process will go as follows:

  • First screen call with a member from the TA team (30min, in visio).
  • An interview with our VP People (1h, in visio).
  • A Business Case to prepare at home and to present (1h, in visio).
  • A final interview with our COO (30min, in visio).

We encourage you to meet with your future team during a 30min meeting.
