Group Legal Advisor (F/M)

Are you excited for your new career adventure? We are looking for a Group Legal Advisor to join our Group Legal team based in Marly (59), France. We are seeking motivated, dynamic and optimistic teammates, ready to take on new challenges!

Reporting to the Group Legal Manager, you will be responsible for providing autonomously effective and business-oriented legal support and expertise while ensuring legal compliance and managing legal risks associated with the Group’s activities.

YOUR MISSIONS:

Corporate matters

  • Handle and supervise corporate related matters for the holding company and its affiliates.
  • Establish and maintain the corporate governance structure ensuring consistency across the Group.
  • Follow and update the governance database in the governance tool.
  • Manage and update the delegation of powers matrix while drafting or adjusting powers of attorney and informing authorized signatories of their own duties and liabilities.
  • Provide guidance and support to local finance directors on their local corporate related matters.
  • Manage and follow all necessary legal formalities.
  • Challenge and act proactively for all governance and corporate related matters.

Contracts/Projects

  • Draft, review and negotiate autonomously various types of contracts as a business partner (direct/indirect purchasing, sales, supply chain, consulting, NDA…).
  • Draft contractual templates.
  • Manage contractual disputes/claims by resolving, settling and/or escalating contractual disputes.
  • Manage, follow and update contract database, validation workflow and signature process in the contract management tool.
  • Provide autonomously legal support for the Group’s business projects and strategic initiatives.

Others

  • Provide expert legal advice, recommendations and guidelines to the top management and operational functions.
  • Work closely with various departments to foster a deeper understanding of legal and compliance matters.
  • Follow portfolio of the Group’s trademarks and domain names and manage intellectual property issues.
  • Manage disputes/litigation and liaise with external law firms if necessary.
  • Stay abreast of changes in law and regulations that may impact the Group.
  • Propose policies, processes, best practices, guidelines, RACI, reporting, templates and KPI related to legal matters.
  • Proactively identify, evaluate, advise and report on potential legal risks affecting the business activity of the Group and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Follow and update legal risk mapping and associated action plans.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of contracts and legal processes.
  • Proactively contribute to legal strategy initiatives.
  • Raise awareness and provide training to business stakeholders on legal and compliance matters.
  • Actively contribute to the animation and development of legal community.
  • Mentor junior legal team members.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Master 2 graduate in business law, economic law, international law, LLM or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years of experience within an international environment
  • Ability to work with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams
  • Adaptability and management of priorities
  • Comfortable with moving between operational and strategic topics on an ongoing basis
  • Critical thinking, analytical, reasoning, and negotiation skills
  • Fully autonomous and well-organized
  • Pragmatic and business oriented
  • Proactive and driving force behind proposals
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues in simple terms
  • Team spirit
  • Fluent in professional English (written & spoken)
