Graphic Designer

The Alyeska Foundation seeks a talented and dedicated Graphic Designer to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting the Foundation's mission to preserve and promote the rich history, diverse cultures, and stunning landscapes of Alaska. The Graphic Designer will work collaboratively with our team to create compelling visual materials that communicate our vision and initiatives effectively to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and design high-quality visual content for a wide range of mediums, including print, digital, and social media, to promote the Foundation's projects and programs.
2. Create visually impactful designs that reflect the Foundation’s commitment to preserving and celebrating Alaska's cultural heritage, history, and natural beauty.
3. Collaborate closely with internal teams to translate complex concepts into clear and engaging visual communication materials.
4. Ensure consistency of brand identity across all design outputs, maintaining the Alyeska Foundation’s high standards of visual communication.
5. Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns, educational materials, and fundraising assets that align with the Foundation's mission and values.
6. Stay informed about design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure the use of best practices and innovative approaches in all projects.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse design skills and creative work.
2. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
3. Strong understanding of visual communication principles, including typography, color theory, and layout design.
4. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
5. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
6. A passion for Alaska's history, culture, and natural environment is highly desirable.
