Within our Innovation and Technology Global Department, we are seeking a:

Global Process Design Engineer

Location: Strasbourg (France)

The position report to the Head of Process Design and Manufacturing Technology team within the Global Innovation and Technology department and play a crucial role in driving the design of our future manufacturing processes considering our next growing challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience in chemical process design within the pharmaceutical, biotech or CDMO sectors.

Key responsibilities :

  • Collect information of existing GLP-1 Process Data and Technologies used (internally or externally in overall GLP-1 market)
  • Ensure the Engineering design of future PPG manufacturing processes
  • Establish Standards for the Process Technologies (URB, URS, Process Flow Diagram, Functional Analysis, Process calculations, Technology and suppliers selection)
  • Ensure a proper Scale Up of our processes (from Process Development to Production scale)
  • Support the sites for the deployment of the selected new technologies (detailed design studies, installation, C&Q, training, Start-Up…)
  • Integrate innovative technologies and practices in new generation of our manufacturing processes

Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Master’s degree in chemical or Biochemical Process Engineering or equivalent
  • Proven experience in pharma, biopharma or CDMO sectors (approx. 10 years)
  • Currently in a similar role from at least 2-3 years
  • Good knowledge of Peptide manufacturing processes (Synthesis, cleavage, chromatographic purification, membrane filtration, product isolation by lyophilization, spray drying or precipitation)
  • Driven by genuine interest in new and innovative technologies and by continuous process improvements
  • Good knowledge and experience of Chemical Process Simulator tools (such as Aspen, ProSim, SuperPro Designer…)
  • Excellent communication skills to connect with all PPG sites and departments in order to collect information and expertise or to deploy concept and ensure a good training of the teams. The communication skills include presentation and reporting as well to the senior leadership
  • Excellent level of English (written and oral) is required
