Job Description

As the Global Category Merchandising Manager, Sportstyle W/M you will be responsible for defining & executing the overall Sportstyle Merchandising strategy across product categories including Footwear & Apparel, delivering the right business package, based on merchandising business targets. You will manage a team of Category Merchandisers.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Line & Merchandise Planning

1. Identify opportunities and risk in consumer purchases, channel and market evolution with solutions on impact of product range.
2. Co-define the brief for annual and seasonal line plans (focusing on sufficiency, flow, lifecycle, and pricing) in collaboration with product line managers.
3. Through I2P (Idea to Product) gates and commercial process, define thoughtful and compelling seasonal channel assortments for wholesale with omni-channel approach to address Brand consumer targets by region with the right level of activation & experience.
4. Develop plug & play merchandising assortment tools for sales organizations.
5. Drive omni channel merchandising toolbox with exclusive programs, product prelaunch and specific RID (retail intro date).
6. Allocate Specific product offer for regional/local accounts.

Be the Global & Strategic Account Merchandising Leader

1. Be the global merchandising leader for the category to pilot and coordinate merchandising strategy execution.
2. Be part of sell-in process: support the long-term business plan with premium partners.

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

As the Category Merchandising Manager, you possess:

1. Direct experience as a senior Merchandiser in order to navigate, communicate and influence your team, the business and partners in the Footwear, Apparel, Retail industries.
2. Experience as a people manager.
3. Agility, you are not afraid of change.
4. An analytical mindset in order to assess and drive performance in your category.

Essential Competencies

1. Leadership: you are able to build, focus and align groups to deliver goals. Capable of formulating strategies, leading change, mobilize and create a team of leaders and drive mindset change in the organization.

3. Strategic Skills: you are able to analyze problems & develop new approaches. Creating plans or strategy that incorporates competitive issues, trends in the industry and external factors, and translate that into your business domain.

Desired Qualifications

1. Languages: English and French fluency.
2. IT: Microsoft suite including advanced Excel, PowerPoint.
