Job Description

As Malt is growing quickly, we are looking for motivated individuals to join our Community & Sourcing team!

The mission of the Freelance Community & Sourcing team is to attract, activate, and hire high-value freelancers based on the local market.

As a Freelance Manager, you will work closely with our local sales team in Marseille, as well as with the community team at headquarters and other regions across France.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with key account managers in Marseille and other regions, supporting their freelancer sourcing requests for corporate clients.
  • Find the best freelancers on Malt and other internal sourcing platforms to meet key account clients' needs, acting as a strong recruitment partner by providing insights into the freelance market, rates, skills, and expectations of freelancers for the required roles.
  • Advise top clients on writing strong briefs to attract the best freelancers.
  • Conduct qualification interviews with freelancers at the client’s request to select the most suitable candidates.
  • Develop and grow the community of the most sought-after freelancers in the local market, aligning with the needs of the Sales teams.
  • Drive more business by identifying specific freelancer profiles needed for local accounts.
  • Organize events to support growth and engage the community (6 events per year).

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in sales, recruitment, community building, and/or growth hacking.
  • Experience in marketplace or startup/scale-up environments is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of the Marseille economic environment and prior work experience in this region.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work autonomously while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A strong service-oriented mindset, always looking for solutions to help freelancers succeed on Malt.
  • A natural networker and relationship builder.
  • Comfortable with communication via social media.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented, with a bias towards action.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and responsibilities.
  • Willing to travel quarterly to Paris.
  • Comfortable working in a hyper-growth environment.
  • Language skills: fluency in French and a professional level of English.
