Role: As a member of the Finance team, the Accounting Manager / Finance Manager will be a part of a nimble, PE backed company, in which team members act as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team.
Finance plays a critical, highly valued role by providing data-driven insights to operationalize initiatives and execute financial performance. The ideal candidate for this position has a well-rounded finance and accounting background and possesses strong analytical and communication skills.
This position will provide support for reporting, planning, strategic analytics, and treasury operations. The candidate should be a self-starter, team-oriented, inquisitive, and focused on driving results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly reporting and forecasting analysis of revenue and margin including research, explanation, and resolution of monthly variances.
- Ensure accuracy and transparency of results.
- Create ad-hoc financial and valuation models to support new product development, business performance, and cost management.
- Support the CEO and Bloom team in the analysis and the preparation of monthly financial reporting, operational reviews, and board presentations.
- Drive disciplined cost management and expense planning processes in concert with functional business leaders.
- Leverage ROI models to prioritize resources and govern decision making.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with the administration of compensation and benefits.
- Assist with the maintenance of HR records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in improving its competitive position and profitability.
- Develop comprehensive business cases for proposed investments and participate in presentations to the executive leadership team and Board of Directors, when appropriate.
- Develop, maintain, and improve complex financial models, benchmarking, and process analysis.
- Support M&A activities including deal modeling, due diligence, and integration processes.
Desired Skills and Experience
- English speaking required.
- Work onsite with the French team.
- Expert knowledge of French tax and accounting practices.
- 5-8 years related experience in FP&A.
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to accept new challenges, and a high level of curiosity and creativity as it relates to new projects, and finding solutions to problems.
- Effective communication and cross-functional business partnering.
- Ability to present to all levels of the organization including senior leadership.
- Financial modeling and analysis skills, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Proven experience and knowledge of accounting concepts and financial statement construction.
