The role you could fill:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Intellectual Property (IP) and Information Technology (IT) Lawyer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will provide legal expertise and counsel in all matters related to IP / IT. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of handling complex IP / IT related cases.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide expert legal counsel on all aspects of intellectual property (IP), including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
Advise on IT-related legal issues such as software, data protection and cybersecurity.
Draft, review, and negotiate IP and IT agreements and provisions, including licensing agreements, service agreements, SaaS agreements, development agreements and confidentiality agreements.
Work closely with R&D, marketing, and product development teams to ensure protection of the company’s innovations and intellectual property rights.
Advise on technology and data privacy issues, including GDPR and other applicable regulations.
Handle IP portfolio management (patents, trademarks, designs) and coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary.
Monitor and enforce IP rights, including managing disputes and litigation with our external counsels.
Stay current with legal developments in the IP and IT space, providing proactive advice on relevant changes in the law.

Proven expertise in managing IP portfolios and negotiating IP provisions and agreements.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients and teams.
Qualifications & Skills
Law degree (Juris Doctor, LLB, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IP and IT law, ideally in-house or with a reputable law firm.
Strong knowledge of IP laws (patents, trademarks, copyrights) and IT law, including data privacy and cybersecurity regulations.
Experience drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial contracts, licensing agreements, and other legal documents.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across different teams and levels of the organization.
Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
