Position Job Title: Finance Manager/ Plant Controller

Function: Finance

Job Purpose

Responsible for the fair and accurate representation of the financial performance of the plant, as well as ensuring appropriate actions plans are in place and executed. Strong Business Partner for Site Senior Leadership Team. Consolidation of financials for plant budgets, actuals and forecasts. Take initiative on making sure that monthly results are understood from a business point of view, internal audits are followed up and ICE / CSA / SOX compliance requirements are fulfilled.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Business partner for the Site Senior Leadership Team
  • Provide analysis, forecasting and insight to support decision making. Including delivery of timely and comprehensive information to various stakeholders in the areas of profitability, production, cost management, working capital, cash flow, opportunity cost, and capital utilization
  • Coordinate month end, quarterly, half year, and year end closing processes. Ensure that the monthly accounting transactions are timely and accurately recorded / reported
  • Drives outperformance culture across plant
  • Ensure, in compliance with laws and regulations, the proper setting, detection and control of administrative events, the preparation of the business and bookkeeping, in compliance with the civil and tax legislation, with provisions legal and business needs, on time and on schedule
  • Responsible for financial and management reporting system. Ensure proper and reliable standard costing system. Responsible of the quoting/costing system of the plant
  • Gate keeper from a financial standpoint of all CI/ Procurement/Supply chain/Sales initiatives
  • Conduct profitability analysis and reporting by customer (PMDB)
  • Ensure effective Internal Controls (ICE, CSA, SOX, Amcor Policies etc.) are in place and maintained
  • Ensure accurate and on time Budget preparation and monthly forecasting sign off
  • Monitors Working Capital and Cash Flow performance
  • Coordinate and prepare the business cases for Capital Investment requests
  • Link to IT systems and Amcor IT team, driving standardization
  • Lead and develop local finance team

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Formal Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a Finance leadership role within a manufacturing environment
  • Bilingual business-level French and English.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • SAP experience as a plus
  • Preferably strong knowledge of packaging business / industry, customers and suppliers
  • Treasury, Tax and FX management experience beneficial
  • Specific Skills & Abilities
  • Strong and solid background from overall finance management
  • Executive presence and collaborative team-orientated leadership style
  • Sufficient legal (accounting, tax, overall business) understanding and knowledge to support the business requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results, with a strong track record of performance
  • Results orientation, clearly understands the concept of value/strong financial analysis skills
  • Sales/customer knowledge
  • Good business judgment/commercial acumen
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and virtual environment
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
