About The Opportunity

Working as a part of Canada Guaranty’s Finance team, the Finance Assistant will provide support for a variety of internal processes, including:

1. Preparing monthly variance reporting for lenders and assist with tracking progress payments and reporting to lenders
2. Assisting in the processing of rebates
3. Conducting bank account reconciliations, ensuring proper supporting documentation
4. Preparing a variety of month-end reports and reconciliations
5. Assisting in the submission of annual jurisdictional reporting and quarterly regulatory reporting

Essential Qualifications

1. At least 1 year of accounting experience
2. Working knowledge of accounting software suites
3. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Word and strong knowledge of Excel

Preferred Qualifications

1. College Diploma or University Degree in Business is an asset
2. 2 or more years of experience in an accounting role
