Field Service Technician

International Drilling Equipment (IDE) is an OEM dealer of Foundation Drilling Equipment and accessories, looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team. IDE’s territory includes locations within the United States and Canada.

Job Description

Be responsible for the safe and effective repair of machine components in the shop and field, at high levels of quality. This individual must work independently of direct supervision in a field environment. The individual in this position should be personable, a problem solver, reliable, ethical, and able to adapt to all the challenges around them - customers, suppliers, colleagues, manufacturers, weather, and other conditions.

Role and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Must be fully committed to working safely as well as fully committed to preventing damage to the environment.
2. Must possess and maintain your own set of tools.
3. Responsible for diagnostics, preventative maintenance, modifications, and repair on all makes of drilling equipment and other equipment in the shop and in field environments.
4. Able to read, understand, and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, and schematics.
5. Plan methods and sequence of performing activities assigned.
6. Ensure all activities are completed as assigned.
7. Prepare proper daily records and documentation of actions taken.
8. Ensure the cosmetic appearance of equipment upon completion as required.
9. Ensure all parts and materials not used are returned as per guidelines.
10. Ensure all records kept are legible and in compliance with established methods.
11. Maintain and care for shop tools, equipment, and vehicles.
12. Communicate with others professionally.
13. Enforces all policies and procedures as specified in the company manuals.
14. Maintains high employee morale.
15. Maintains excellent customer and employee relations.
16. Possess and maintain a clean driver's license and has or can acquire a U.S. Passport.
17. Must be available at a moment’s notice to respond to IDE and customer needs.
18. This position requires up to 80% travel annually.

Requirements

Education/Training/Experience:

1. A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred.
