The Field Marketing Specialist is responsible for driving country-specific performance objectives across a variety of local marketing channels. This role is an extension of our global Field Marketing organization, supporting the Global Knowledge business unit, and works with the global Field Marketing leader and business unit Product Marketing to represent local requirements and subsequently connect global programs with local GTM activities. This role coordinates local execution through collaboration across various shared services marketing functions, such as content, demand-gen, digital, marketing ops, etc. as well as with other GTM functions, such as sales, customer success, and product management.
Responsibilities:
- Localization: Adapting marketing messages and materials to fit the cultural and business norms of specific regions.
- Campaign Support: Extending marketing campaign execution across the final stages to land in-market through email, social media, web content, and sales collateral.
- Sales Enablement: Providing local sales team with the tools, training, and information they need to sell the product effectively.
- Lead Generation: Running localized lead generation campaigns and passing qualified leads to the sales team.
- Performance Measurement: Analyzing the effectiveness of local campaigns (both digital and traditional media) and adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Customer Feedback: Gathering and analyzing local customer feedback to inform marketing strategies.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other departments (e.g. sales, product management, operations, etc) to align efforts and maximize impact.
Outcomes:
The Field Marketing Specialist is accountable for the following objectives and key results:
- Marketing-influenced pipeline (consistent with country-specific bookings targets)
- Marketing-qualified leads
- Marketing-sourced pipeline
- Brand awareness
This role will monitor and adjust activities based on a number of key results, including:
- Engaged web sessions
- Outbound email performance
- Account- and territory-based customer engagement
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Successful candidates will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Strong communication skills in both English and local language (verbal and written)
- Highly collaborative, working well in a matrixed marketing team
- Proactively driven to connect with and add value to the local GTM team
- Professional-level mastery of Microsoft Office products
- Analytical and data-oriented decision making
- Curious, innovative, and optimization-oriented
- Scrappy – able to navigate through ambiguity in order to deliver programs on time and on budget
Ideal candidates typically have the following experience:
- Familiarity with transactional services-based business model in a B2B context
- Familiarity with technical buyers (particularly within technology functions) and enterprise technology lifecycles
- BA/BS degree or comparable mix of education and experience
- 5 years of experience in marketing
