Key Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in architecture, construction, construction management, business administration or engineering; and five (5) years of progressively more responsible facilities construction and maintenance or public works experience, including three (3) years of supervisory experience, preferably in a municipal government environment.
OR an associate degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in architecture, construction, construction management, business administration or engineering; and eight (8) years of progressively more responsible facilities construction and maintenance or public works experience, including three (3) years of supervisory experience, preferably in municipal government environment.
Or the possession of any equivalent combination of education and training, which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid State of Florida Professional Architect License, Florida Professional Engineer License or Florida General Contractor License is preferred.
Certified Public Manager (CPM) certification is preferred.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
Must possess or obtain the most current FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 Incident Command System certifications within one year of employment.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
