CMA CGM Group has decided to structure and strengthen its R&D approach by creating a Center of Excellence dedicated to Innovation and Research. The center will increase the company’s capacity for technological and scientific innovation necessary to meet its strategic objectives (decarbonization, digitalization…), while generating profitability and ensuring a high visibility on the Group’s commitment to the industry’s energy transition. It will rely on strategic industrial and academic partners experts in the maritime industry (laboratories, companies, startups, shipyards, etc.).

YOUR ROLE

The Export Documentation Assistant will report directly to the Documentation Manager within the headquarters in Marseille.

Under the supervision of the Documentation Manager, you will handle various customer documentation requests and work closely with the network of agents and company departments on all matters related to maritime documentation and shipment tracking.

This is a permanent contract (CDI) with an immediate start date.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  1. Maintain and update the shipment tracking file for the assigned area on a daily basis.
  2. Issue new sets of Original Bills of Lading (OB/L).
  3. Ensure vessel coordination with the different operational departments and compliance with instructions.
  4. Maintain an up-to-date database to provide high-quality service to customers and monitor regulatory updates for the assigned area.
  5. Assist in resolving disputes and any issues related to documentation.
  6. Communicate daily with various departments and agencies within the Group.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  1. Holder of a Bachelor's degree in maritime transport or a related field.
  2. Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  3. Proficient in office software and comfortable working in English.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills for teamwork and communication with various stakeholders.
  5. Organized, analytical, adaptable, and highly responsive to successfully manage this role.
