Summary:

Manage the Sales department while striving to maintain key performance indicators related to profitability, customer service, and process and compliance regulations; monitors customer activity within the CRM and on the Sales Floor to enable growth and a high percentage of close ratio.

  • Trains, motivates, and counsels Sales Associates
  • Monitors the performance of all Sales Associates through Vin Solutions utilizing all reports and Insights.
  • Completes One on Ones with Sales Associates weekly through Vin Solutions Insights and Co Video dashboards.
  • Reviews Sales telephone calls inbound and outbound. Coaches Associates regarding calls and customer service.
  • Watches Co videos and gives techniques and coaching to Sales Associates regarding these videos.
  • Implements and maintains follow-up with Sales Associates on a weekly if not daily basis if team members need more improvement or assistance.
  • Ensures that each customer is greeted as quickly as possible.
  • Meets each customer prior to test drive and builds relationships with customers.
  • Ensures that the Sales Associate follows the sales process and maintains a high customer service process. This should include the path to sales, trade appraisal process, and finance paperwork process including compliance process.
  • Helps Sales Associate close deals and speaks to every customer in the showroom prior to moving to finance or leaving the dealership. Thanks each customer for the opportunity and honor to earn their business.
  • Forecasts aggressive yet realistic monthly goals and objectives for each Sales Associate. Utilizing the Sales Calculator and all other tools and reports.
  • Communicates with the New Vehicle Sales Manager and Used Vehicle Sales Manager daily regarding deals and team members.
  • Desks all deals directly with Sales Associates and if Sales Associates are desking their own deals, reviews and ensures deals are being desked as directed following all processes that have been put in place for the dealership.
  • Prior to the deal moving to finance, verifies that all paperwork is completed and all proof regarding insurance, finance, compliance, and rebates are in the deal.
  • Signs off on deal only when all required items are in the deal jacket and moves the deal to finance.
  • Works with the finance manager to enhance proper turnover for customers.
  • Manages the deal process when leaving finance and moving to accounting; verifying that the deal is scanned, and recap is correct.
  • Backs up the New Vehicle Sales Manager on all tasks.
  • Backs up the Used Car Manager on all tasks.
  • Is in touch with all other aspects of the sales department; manages and maintains process and relationships between BDC and Sales Team.
  • Meets all OEM goals along with Bergey’s goals for Sales that are established daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
  • Prepares and holds Sales meetings and training meetings.
  • Is a team leader by utilizing all Bergey’s Behaviors. Empowers oneself and others in ways that move the needle forward with Integrity, kindness, clarity, and positivity.
  • Maintains professional appearance.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 2+ years of automotive experience needed.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug test.
