Job Description:

A position of Scientific Computing Engineer (M/F) has just opened within Airbus Helicopters in Marignane.

You will join the department Digital Methods & Tools for Engineering – ETOEM in Engineering whose mission is to set up foundation to allow Engineering to reach the highest efficiency, to provide most added value to our customers by deploying, guiding, improving our portfolios of Tools, Solutions and Ways of Working.

You will be involved in a team in charge of developing Methods and tools capabilities to sustain and improve the CAE, Computer Aided Engineering in Airbus Helicopters (scientific computing dedicated to behavioral simulation: stress, flight physic, thermal, etc.).

In synergy with other team members of Method and Tools department, you will have to leverage these skills on a large variety of interesting challenges:

• Develop innovation projects and lead technical projects to boost impact of simulation for product development (implementation of digital working environment, virtualization, Multi-physic simulation framework, AI & big data, etc.).
• Be the responsible of Simulation infrastructure and associated strategy (needs convergence, rationalization…).
• Animate and lead simulation working group in order to increase collaboration between departments and improve a shared strategy concerning technologies usage and roadmap.
• Be the business product owner to set-up and manage key enablers to support simulation department daily business: relationship with IM, ensure data compliance, cyber security, etc.

This position will lead you to work and interact with experts from different engineering métiers (simulation, safety, design, System engineering…).

This new position will lead to develop new skills within Airbus Helicopters and Method & Tools department. Indeed, Airbus Helicopters is accelerating its digital transformation. You will have to bring your competencies to improve current digital environment for simulation community.

The specific skills expected are:

• You have a technical background with at least 3 years of experience.
• Experience in Computer Aided Engineering (CAE):
  • Knowledge in physical simulation.
  • Be familiar with tools suite needed to support simulation processes (enabler for tools automations python or equivalent).
• Abilities to lead projects.
• Good level in communication skills and abilities to animate working group.

Other skills can be an asset (or will be developed in this position):

• Digitalization of data and process: good understanding of digitalization challenges in order to address digital continuity, virtualization and new generation of cloud based process & application.
• Basic Knowledge in Model Based Engineering and Model Based System Engineering approaches.
• Knowledge in Agile way of working (Scrum, SAFe, etc.).
