Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Implements instructional programs that meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials.
2. Maintains a safe and orderly environment.
3. Communicates with parents/guardians.
4. Maintains complete and accurate student records.
5. Collaborates with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members.
6. Monitors and assesses student achievement.
7. Attends ongoing professional learning and meetings.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Teaching experience in the above-mentioned areas.
2. Knowledge of best instructional practices.
3. Ability to integrate technology.
4. Experience in educational and instructional leadership.
5. Bilingual skills preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure in Elementary Education PreK-6.
2. Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
