Our client, an Egyptian Conglomerate, is the Middle East's leading steel producer of high-quality long and flat steel products for use in a wide range of end applications. Their high precision products are customized for customers internationally across the US, European, and Middle Eastern markets. Due to the expansion of their business, they are currently seeking an Iron Production Director to lead their manufacturing operations in Egypt. This role can be based at any of the following locations: Alexandria, Sadat, Suez, or 10th of Ramadan.

Description

Reporting to the General Manager, you are required to carry out the following duties:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of iron production, ensuring optimal efficiency and product quality.
• Lead and manage a large production team, ensuring product results and quality align with business objectives.
• Ensure efficient use of raw materials, including iron ore and limestone, to maintain iron stability.
• Develop strategies to improve productivity while reducing costs and maintaining product quality.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure continuous operations.
• Monitor iron production metrics and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Manage production forecasts and coordinate with procurement teams to manage material inventory.

Profil recherché

Minimum of 15 years of working experience as an Iron Production Director within the steel rebar manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Metallurgy, Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
You bring 3 years of experience working in a senior leadership role.
Strong knowledge of iron-making processes, particularly blast furnaces or Direct Reduced Iron (DRI).
Proven working experience handling direct reduction (HYL technology) is an asset.
Excellent fluency in English and Arabic is required.
Must be willing to relocate to one of the manufacturing facilities in Egypt.
