Senior Data Engineer (#2540)

Our customer is the European online car market with over 30 million monthly users, with a market presence in 18 countries. The company is now merging with a similar company in Canada and needs support on this way. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of online car markets and enhancing the user experience for millions of car buyers and sellers.

Requirements:

1. 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
2. Expertise in AWS services, with a strong focus on Glue and Athena.
3. Proficient in Python, PySpark, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
4. Skilled in SQL, Airflow, and data streaming frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Firehose).
5. Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines.
6. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain data platforms, beyond just usage.
7. Strong proficiency in data modeling techniques and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Simplify existing tools, make them more modular, work with technical debt.
2. Propose improvements, be actively involved in team discussions and decision-making, drive initiatives.
3. Work closely with a team of Senior Engineers, Product Manager, and Engineering Manager.
