What Individualized Care contributes to Cardinal Health

MMS Solutions, a division of Cardinal Health, is a specialty pharmacy serving nephrology physician offices and clinics. Located in La Vergne, Tennessee, MMS Solutions is a full-service closed-door specialty pharmacy dedicated in dispensing renal-specific medications, nutritionals, and ancillary supply orders directly to the patient's homes.

Job Summary

Responsible for providing effective customer care to our nephrology base customers. Our dedicated team must possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented and reliable, as well as proficient in computers.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage moderate to high call volume.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and clinicians in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Input patient data into the pharmacy information management system.
  • Resolve patient/customer inquiries with the most effective response.
  • Display a professional approach with team members at all times.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of and abide by all HIPAA, Board of Pharmacy, and applicable federal and state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Call center experience preferred.
  • National PTCB Certification preferred.
  • Must be a registered pharmacy tech in the state of Tennessee.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Two years of college experience or relevant work experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communications, with a desire to provide superior phone customer service.
  • Candidate needs to demonstrate initiative, time management, organizational skills, a professional demeanor, and a positive attitude.
  • Must be willing to take on additional duties when needed.
  • Responsible and willing to function as a cooperative team member.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as the ability to learn competencies in pharmacy information system.

  • Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete standard tasks.
  • Works on routine assignments that require basic problem resolution.
  • Refers to policies and past practices for guidance.
  • Receives general direction on standard work; receives detailed instruction on new assignments.
  • Consults with supervisors or senior peers on complex and unusual problems.

Anticipated hourly range: $18.10 per hour - $25.80 per hour
