Global Trade Solutions comprises over 4,500 people across more than 60 countries, helping suppliers and buyers with their export and import finance needs. GTS is a key strategic business for the HSBC Group and is recognised as a leading trade provider both globally and regionally.
The Transaction Risk Management (TRM) team is responsible for the effective identification, assessment, ongoing management, monitoring and mitigation of transaction risk for Commercial clients. The TRM team in France is covering Continental Europe portfolio (its main markets for Receivable Finance being France, Spain, Poland and Czech Republic).

What you will do:

The Portfolio Risk Manager role is based within Global Trade Solutions (GTS) / Transaction Risk Management (TRM). The role of the Portfolio Risk Manager is responsible for managing the overall risk within the Receivable Finance portfolio in Continental Europe, including but not limited to credit, operational, collateral and fraud.

In this role you will:

• Monitor portfolio trends including sectors, positions of concern, delinquent positions and non-recourse structures, ensuring within risk appetite and taking appropriate action to mitigate loss including reviewing information at individual seller and portfolio level to identify anomalies and trends.
• Produce portfolio risk reporting, participate in the preparation of the decks for RF and GTS risk meetings and reports for regulators.
• Participate in various cross functional projects of the Bank in line with TRM risk monitoring function.
• Work closely with GTS Client Management and Sales teams in France and in Continental Europe.
• Communicate and adhere to HSBC policy and procedures in order to ensure good operational, financial and project management, policy and procedural compliance and early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise and taking required action in relation to points.
• Develop and recommend changes and improvements to operating models, procedures and practices based on subject matter expertise and understanding of HSBC and market best practice.
• Contribute to team development, effectiveness and success by sharing knowledge and good practice, working collaboratively with others to create a productive, diverse and supportive working environment.
