As a Data Center Technician, you'll play a vital role in building critical IT infrastructure by delivering, positioning, and installing server racks within our client's data centers.

What you’ll be doing:

1. Attend client sites punctually, fully prepared with the necessary equipment, uniform, procedures, documentation, and PPE.
2. Install, test, and troubleshoot fibre and copper cabling, including patching and dressing cables in server racks (training provided where needed).
3. Decommission IT equipment, including networks, servers, storage, and backup devices.
4. Conduct regular physical and visual inspections of IT server and network equipment.
5. Work with tools like VFLs, OTDRs, and power meters for network troubleshooting.
6. Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, reporting on tasks, delays, safety concerns, and completion times.
7. Provide outstanding customer service by maintaining professionalism at all times.
8. Follow client-specific procedures for health, safety, and security.
9. Complete daily checklists, reports, and general administrative tasks.
10. Support large, complex projects with flexible and adaptive problem-solving.

What we’re looking for:

1. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
2. Experience in the installation of structured cabling, including fibre and copper.
3. Basic knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment.
4. Familiarity with routers, switches, and other network gear.
5. Valid Class B driving licence with a clean driving record.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and email.
7. English language proficiency at B1 level (knowledge of another European language is a bonus).
8. Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities in a high-pressure environment.
9. Prior experience in a data centre, logistics, or construction environment.
10. Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
11. Familiarity with completing checklists in Excel or Teams.
