KEY INFORMATION:
Location: Europe, France, Crolles
Type of contract: Regular
Company department: Characterization & Modeling
At STMicroelectronics, we are 50,000+ creators and makers of semiconductor technologies. We are a global business that prides itself on diversity - 115+ nationalities and present in 35 countries.
Our people are at the heart of everything we do, working with customers and partners to create the innovations that enable the technology of tomorrow. Working at ST means innovating for a future that we want to make smarter, greener, and more sustainable. And doing this in a responsible and sustainable way.
Our technology starts with you. Join us and start the future!
You will join a dynamic team within the Technology Support (TS) department and the Physical Characterization service composed of 60 people.
The analysis laboratory "CarPhy" is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment; in this context, we provide continuous support to our production and R&D units and develop our expertise in three areas of competence: failure analysis (FA), physical analysis (PA), and surface analysis and measurement of mechanical properties (SA).
In the FA (Failure Analysis) team, your mission is to perform nanoprobing analyses to support and develop the most advanced technologies at our site.
Nanoprobing involves extracting electrical characteristics from the elementary components of our products using nanometric probes or locating open circuit or short-circuit defects in the circuit. Following this characterization, you will work with the Physical Analysis team to define the best approach to highlight the physical defect responsible for the failure. These analyses are crucial for qualifying new products and technologies, and you will regularly communicate with our design colleagues or those in charge of process integration.
You will synthesize results after processing experimental data (images, measurements, I(V) curves, physical analysis results) and be responsible for the coherence of the entire analysis. The communication of the analysis report may also involve presentations through discussions with clients to clarify and explain the results obtained.
Beyond analytical work, you actively participate in team life by proposing improvement actions, innovative approaches, or evaluating new methods and machines.
We regularly exchange with other ST laboratories (Agrate, Grenoble, Rousset, Catania…) and in this context, you will enrich your knowledge by collaborating with colleagues from other laboratories to participate in the evolution and progression of our team.
YOU WILL BENEFIT:
Your Workplace:
The Crolles site has over 5,000 people from 45 different countries and covers 55 hectares. Located 20 km from Grenoble and 40 km from Chambéry, Crolles is a dynamic city that combines technological excellence and quality of life.
Our site offers an exceptional living and working environment in the heart of the mountains and is accessible by public transport and by bike, thanks to the many cycling paths in the area.
With ski resorts nearby, picturesque hiking trails, and activities for all tastes, you will have the opportunity to fully enjoy your free time. By joining us, you will benefit from numerous advantages: corporate mobility plan, company restaurants, concierge service, and an employee representative committee.
The Crolles and Grenoble sites are the largest private employers in Isère, with innovative projects in both research and development as well as manufacturing.
We gather 50,000 people present in 40 countries and representing 118 nationalities. Together, we form one ST. Diversity is an integral part of who we are and what we do. We are convinced that we are all actors of inclusion and that we must learn to see the world through the eyes of others. We still have a long way to go, but every day we work together to create a fairer and more inclusive workplace where you can realize your full potential.
