Associate Procurement Operations Lead
Job location: Warsaw
This position is based at our head office in Warsaw and offers an opportunity to play a key role in the procurement process for the Goodyear offices in Europe East.
This position will serve as the first point of contact for SAG suppliers (Selling, Administrative and General Expenses) and local stakeholders, promoting best practices and ensuring Procurement is aligned with the business strategy.
The position reports to the EMEA Procurement Operations Manager and ensures there is appropriate collaborative communication between strategic sourcing and shared services transactional teams.
The Team
- The successful candidate will be part of a diverse team distributed across Europe, with autonomy to work as individual contributors while also collaborating on topics with no geographic boundaries.
- The SAG team supports the EMEA region focusing on products and services for Marketing, IT, Professional Services, HR Services, and Retail.
The Role
- Proactively engage with projects at early stages, capturing business opportunities.
- Drive negotiations with vendors based on business needs, capturing the best product/service and optimum value proposition.
- Enhance vendor database, reducing risk and promoting vendor concentration.
- Support business financial objectives by driving savings on a year-to-year cost reduction.
- Promote compliance and best practices.
- Support improvement initiatives related to process, system, and master data.
Skills, Experience & Education
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) professional qualification.
- Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in a corporate setting.
- Able to demonstrate significant improvements in value across previously managed categories.
- Prior experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related operational function preferred.
- Fundamental knowledge of business processes.
- Highly organized.
- Solid work ethics.
- Positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good financial/statistical analysis skills.
- Self-motivating.
- Problem-solving mindset.
- Team player.
- Able to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Proficient with MS Office. Experience with SAP, Tableau, Blueprint (project management). Exposure to procurement-related systems is considered an asset.
