The team and the organization
AXA Group Operations built a Content Management Platform dedicated to AXA entities as a replacement for legacy platforms. The platform called Content Management eXperience (CMX) provides REST APIs and a Graphical User Interface in a Software As A Service model. CMX is operated by teams located in France (Paris, Feature and Roll-out Teams) and Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Operations team).
The Product Team is organized into 3 main activities: Product Development, Roll-out Management, and Operations Management.
This job post targets a Product Owner position in the CMX organization. Reporting to the Product Manager, the Product Owner oversees the development roadmap of one of the CMX platform products (CMX Content Navigation) and its consistency towards expectations expressed by client entities on both functional and non-functional design patterns. This role is Global.
Main issues
- The platform CMX is getting traction from the group and delivery capabilities are stretched by roll-out activities. Project Development teams need reinforcements to ensure the product roadmap will be delivered as promised while onboarding new entities goes on.
- CMX Product needs to be rolled out to new regions, which induces major changes in the service offered to entities (new features or versions expected, SLA extension to NAR/LATAM regions, new Follow-the-Sun capabilities, new cross-region DR capability, etc.).
Interlocutors
The Product Owner for CMX Content Navigation acts as a shadow Product Owner for the CMX Platform to relieve him/her from part of its product management activities. The Product Owner will delegate scopes of the product & service development with an extensive field of freedom within its field of responsibility. As an example, the Product Owner for CMX Content Navigation could oversee the design, development, and roll-out of the Disaster Recovery concept for CMX Content Navigation or the release of a new version/module of the application (like CMX Content Navigation refactoring).
In its missions, the Product Owner for CMX Content Navigation manages teams composed of business analysts, specialists, and developers dedicated to entities and acts as the face of the CMX offering to the key users in the AXA entities. He/She takes ownership of AXA GO’s commitments and is commissioned to deliver them from a product portfolio perspective. Also, he/she will manage interactions with AXA GO’s internal teams and coordinate their actions to achieve his/her targets.
The activity of the Product Owner for CMX Content Navigation starts from the inception of his product component/module until its retirement from production. He/she is responsible for outlining the features expected, documenting them, having them delivered to production by the Product Management team, promoting them in the organization, evaluating their cost of operation, and the price to be proposed to entities.
The Product Owner for CMX Content Navigation reports to the Product Manager in the Product Management team.
