Port Equipment Automation Project Manager

CMA Terminals is a port operator used to develop, design, build, own and operate terminals and dry docks. CMA Terminals welcomes CMA CGM lines but also invites all shipping companies to develop terminals and offer a top quality service.

YOUR ROLE

You will be part of the Technical Department and responsible to follow up the equipment / maintenance performances of a portfolio of terminals and to assist terminals and project teams for the specifications, procurement and maintenance of handling equipment.

You will be the referent for automated equipment and automation projects.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

The key elements to the role are:

1. Technical assistance / management of equipment automation projects (ASC, A-RTG, A-RMG, Auto strads, etc.)
2. Development of group technical specifications for automated container handling equipment and associated systems
3. Responsible for the following up of the maintenance / equipment performances for a portfolio of terminals:
4. Ensuring that terminals are preserving consistent levels of maintenance of their handling equipment and keep focused on constant improvements
5. Conducting technical audits
6. Promoting and implementing best working practices
7. Assisting Terminals in meeting targets towards performances enhancement and control of OPEX
8. Assisting and guiding terminals for major repairs, upgrade and refurbishment projects
9. Issuance of technical specifications for new equipment with specific focus on automated equipment and associated systems
10. Benchmark and qualification of new technologies to optimize terminal equipment efficiency and performances
11. Coordination with Purchasing Dpt and Terminals to ensure equipment are purchased and delivered according to specifications
12. Assisting terminals in the implementation of Computerised Maintenance Management System
13. Managing technical projects for greenfield terminals and existing terminals
14. Coordinating with SSE and IT teams

8. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in container terminal technical departments
9. Experience of container handling equipment automation projects (ASC, ARMG, Auto strads, etc.)
10. Crossed cultural awareness and general knowledge of a liner environment required
11. Technical and industrial skills for container terminal equipment
12. Experience in heavy lift equipment maintenance
13. Fluent in English, both spoken & written
