Job Description

Job Title: Technical Account Manager

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Technical Account Manager in Germany or France.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

  1. Work with Sales Executives to close new business opportunities by gaining a thorough technical and business understanding of our customers' needs;
  2. Help sales qualify, identify, close new opportunities and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the sales cycle and beyond;
  3. Understand the internal DDN sales process and how to utilize the company resources to close business;
  4. Participate in customer-focused seminars, tradeshows, events, and training;
  5. Provide RFP responses, technical drawings, presentations, and recommendations;
  6. Acquire and maintain a thorough technical understanding of like industries;
  7. Develop innovative solutions to customers' business needs;
  8. Provide regular status reports;
  9. Help develop and enhance products, processes, and procedures;
  10. Work as part of an international team, providing support across other areas as may be required by the business from time to time.

Qualifications:

Education: BSc in an appropriate discipline or equivalent

Skills and Experience:

Skills:

  • Strong interest in new technologies and a hunger to consistently keep developing;
  • Ability to multitask and develop innovative solutions for client needs;
  • Great presentation skills and knowledge of the storage industry would be ideal;
  • This role requires travel;
  • The ability to listen, understand and articulate the customer's needs and how to create appropriate solutions;
  • The ability to build relationships and people skills is essential;
  • Fluent in English and preferably with a second European language.

Experience:

  • For selected roles appropriate Security Clearance/s or the ability to obtain such a Security Clearance/s may be required;
  • Knowledge of the storage industry and its key solutions;
  • Basic understanding of scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
