Background
The Compliance Intern will provide support to the Paris-based Head of Compliance (Continental Europe ex France) responsible for the global coordination of marketing reviews of product related materials distributed by or through Natixis Investment Managers International, Natixis Investment Managers International Distribution’s Paris based management company. The Compliance Intern will also lend support to the corporate compliance program of Continental Europe, covering offices in France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland (Zurich and Geneva).
The position is to provide support to the Europe (ex UK) Compliance function in the following areas:
30% Perform level 2 controls on KYD files, AML-CTF checks and review of completed distributor due diligence questionnaires. Assist with annual AML-CTF reports and filings with regulators in Continental Europe.
30% Perform controls, including review and monitoring, of marketing material related to both the Management Company’s sponsored products and affiliate products, post-distribution, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
20% Assisting in update of policies and procedures applicable to BDUs (Specific Compliance Arrangements with marketing guidelines). Maintaining logs and registers (gifts and entertainment, personal transactions, conflicts of interest, breaches, regulatory developments tracking).
20% Performing control plan testing on various topics including Gifts & Entertainment, client classification, marketing review exemptions, client records.

Skills and experience required:
• Admission in Master 1 or Master 2 level degree in Compliance, Risk, Internal Control or Internal Audit.
• Fluency in both French and English required.
