Member of the Motul Global Leadership team and reporting to Motul's Chief Brand & Communication Officer, the Head of Brand Activations is the guarantor of the best activation and respect of the Motul brand image, overseeing Motul's communication strategically & operationally through 4 main pillars:
Responsible for the elaboration and management of the partnerships strategy within the Motul Group. In collaboration with different stakeholders (Brand & Comm team, BUs, R&D, Product, CoE Market, Chief Business Officer), he/she designs, plans, implements, and reports on Brand Activations to support the company's strategic objectives.
Managing a team of 4-6 people, the Head of Brand Activation is responsible for the strategy and implementation of Motul's communication and business strategic plan:
SPONSORSHIP & PARTNERSHIPS
With the support of a Sponsorship manager:
- Define a new Motul partnership territory in line with the brand narrative (brand strategy) and business strategy.
- Benchmark, identify, and source the right strategic partners to meet the brand and company objectives.
- Build, answer, nourish, and coordinate a network that can feed the brand partnership territory.
- Negotiate, contractualize, deliver, monitor, and align Motul's & partners' benefits for each sponsoring deal.
- Coordinate with stakeholders the implementation of these benefits into concrete 360° activation plans throughout the year.
- Transmit, delegate, and monitor to the stakeholders (BUs, Brand & Comm, Product, R&D) the benefits negotiated to help them transform into concrete activations and maximize the output of each contractual counterpart, and yearly assess the outcomes.
- Set up a ROI approach and the appropriate tools to measure & monitor.
Brand Representation
- Represents the Motul brand across the world in the motorsport sector.
- Point of contact for all the sponsoring global activities.
- In charge of rolling out the right opportunities to the right stakeholders within the group.
- Guide and challenge the BUs approach and initiatives on the partnerships.
EVENTS & ACTIVATION
With the support of an Event manager and an Event coordinator:
- Manage strategically and operationally all gold events (corporate) happening worldwide.
- Plan, manage, and coordinate all activations involving Motul's presence in external gold events worldwide (MotoGP, Dakar, WEC, Retromobile, etc.).
- Build and coordinate with stakeholders the implementation of all the activation plans before, during, and after the event (Team members, product dept., R&D, BUs).
- Plan, manage, and coordinate the Motul VIP programs related to gold events (Motul Experience) and Motul booth at the same events.
Profile
Education / Qualification: Master Degree in Marketing / Business School or equivalent; Sport Marketing is a plus.
Experience needed: 12+ years of experience with at least 5 years in a management position; Motorsport / Automotive & Powersport experience.
Sponsorship & Brand Activation Expertise
Language: English (main language for the job: written & spoken); French (written & spoken); every other language appreciated.
Soft skills: Profile accustomed to evolving in a multicultural environment and international groups; flexible, multitasking with a strategic overview; able to navigate complex situations and different influence poles; very good relationship and negotiation skills.
