Scientist in Cell Culture and Immunology for Animal Nutrition

Location: On site, Village-Neuf

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop new analytical methods and in-vitro & in-vivo models in connection with projects on animal health and nutrition (pig, chicken, and fish).
  2. Design, plan, and execute research work using established procedures, applying scientific knowledge.
  3. Analyze experimental data and write scientific reports with appropriate statistical standards.
  4. Develop experimental protocols to optimize test efficiency.
  5. Perform bibliographic research to stay up to date on advances in immunology and cell culture.
  6. Collaborate and support the team to ensure the smooth running of activities according to the established schedule and priorities.
  7. Develop a professional network to implement internal or external collaborations related to cell culture, immunology, and physiological or oxidative stress.
  8. Present experimental results at scientific meetings or conferences.
  9. Work in accordance with dsm-firmenich QSHE (Quality, Safety, Hygiene & Environment) and safety rules.

You Bring:

  • PhD in Immunology with 3 to 5 years of experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of immunology and cell culture, ideally including oxidative stress.
  • Proficiency in flow cytometry.
  • Knowledge in cellular imaging and microscopy techniques.
  • Experience with the development of organoids in animals (poultry, pork, and/or fish) would be an asset.
  • Good knowledge of statistical analysis tools and computer programming.
  • Ability to publish research results in international reference journals.
  • Good understanding of the issues and perspectives of research in immunology for animal nutrition.
  • Awareness of the ethical and well-being approach to animal experimentation.
  • Fluency in English and good knowledge of French.
  • Optional: Ability to lead and supervise a research team.
