Job Purpose:

We are looking for a highly motivated professional to join our Group Risk Management (GRM) team as a Risk Analyst.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling risks related to AXA's Savings business underwriting to ensure the stability and profitability of our business. Your duties will also include defining appropriate indicators/metrics for underwriting decisions, validating the modeling and calculation of Solvency Required Capital for various life risks, reviewing the 2nd Opinion on Reserves, and coordinating customer value monitoring. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in risk management and contribute to the success of our business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1) Internal Model and Life Risk Adjustment:

  • Analyze risk and business changes at Group and entity levels to assess their impact on solvency ratio and IFRS17's balance sheet.
  • Maintain and improve the Internal Model and Risk Adjustment for different life risks, including Lapses Up/Down, Mass Lapse, Other Customer Behaviors and Expense.
  • Validate yearly Solvency 2 Internal Model figures computations for life risks across 12 entities, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Interact with auditors and regulators to provide information on savings risks.

2) Coordination and Collaboration:

  • Serve as a liaison between entities and the GRM Life team to ensure project deliverables are met and business and modeling issues are understood.
  • Work with GRM Life team experts to resolve issues related to the risks they manage.

3) Product Approval Process (PAP):

  • Participate in the savings PAP process to ensure alignment with the Group risk management strategy, considering profitability margins, value for customers and regulatory impact.
  • Support entities in implementing Group risk management requirements.
  • Review local second opinions on savings PAP to ensure consistency and accuracy.

4) Transversal Initiatives:

  • Contribute to the definition of the Life Economic Combined Ratio metric and the Conduct Framework through customer value metrics analysis.

5) Risk Monitoring:

  • Review local second opinions on Savings reserving, reinsurance deals, crediting rates strategy, and savings strategic plan to ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures.

What we are looking for:

  • Major in statistics, actuarial sciences, finance, or data science with a Masters degree (BAC+5) or PhD
  • Knowledge of financial markets, Asset and Liability Management techniques for insurance companies, and SII framework.
  • Strong statistical, actuarial, and modeling skills, and IT skills including R and VBA.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, with another language (Spanish, German, etc.) being a plus.
  • Ability to work with a team in a multicultural environment, lead working groups and projects, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate accuracy, quality, and timeliness of deliverables, and be organized, autonomous, responsible, innovative, flexible, and pragmatic.
