The Valeo Mobility Tech Center based in Créteil (94) is the headquarters of the Valeo Brain Division. This Research & Development center brings together 1180 employees focused on designing advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), connectivity solutions, and human-machine interfaces.

In the context of the rapid evolution of generative artificial intelligence, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques are proving to be an effective and economical solution to enhance the knowledge of large language models (LLM) as these models can lose context when the text content is lengthy. Recent advancements in RAG include approaches such as ReACT, Agentic RAG, Contextual RAG, and GraphRAG, which propose new methods for building more reliable, faster, and relevant GenAI applications.

Your missions:

The objective of this internship will be to first study these new evolutions, compare them, and apply them to a practical case of efficiency in information retrieval from company data.

During the internship, the intern will be tasked with designing, developing, and testing advanced RAG systems for various natural language processing tasks, including:

• Document summarization: Extracting key points from a text to facilitate understanding.
• Question-answering: Developing systems capable of answering specific questions based on a document corpus containing texts, tables, and images.
• Information extraction: Identifying and retrieving relevant information from large amounts of data.
• Using functions (Agentic AI): Accessing databases, APIs, or internet queries to enrich the answers provided by the model with the help of libraries like Langchain, Langraph, Autogen, and others.

About you:

• Master's (or Bac +4 or +5) in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science.
• Knowledge of Deep Learning algorithms, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Computer Vision will be highly appreciated.
• Good mastery of Python.
• You demonstrate creativity, a willingness to engage, and autonomy. You enjoy teamwork and are comfortable communicating.
