THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Fixed Assets/Financing within the Accounting Department of CMA-CGM SA, you will take part in :
the daily accounting of acquisitions and disposals of fixed assets, mainly vessels and their equipment, containers and other tangible and intangible fixed assets. Annual acquisitions are worth several billion euros
accounting for financing linked to ship acquisitions (loans)
accounting for IFRS16 restatements relating to leased vessels
the preparation of monthly consolidation reporting statements under IFRS using onestream (consolidation software) and French GAAP for the preparation of the parent company financial statements.
CMA-CGM SA is the main entity of the CMA-CGM Group (turnover of the entity in 2023: 27 billion euros), responsible in particular for all the Group's ship purchases and associated financing. It also acts as the Group's holding company and financing structure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for ensuring that the transactions recorded in the accounts are justified to the external auditors and that the monthly reports to which you contribute are reliable.
You will supervise the accounting entry files prepared by the SSCs.
You may be required to take part in Group projects: new regulations, development of IT tools, drafting of processes, etc.
PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS
You hold Master 2 in Finance, Accounting;
You will have at least 5 years' experience in an accounting firm or a large company;
You have a good knowledge of general accounting, cost accounting and taxation;
Initial experience of IFRS would be a plus;
Knowledge of SAP;
You have an aptitude for IT tools;
You will be able to make suggestions for improving the efficiency of processes and IT tools;
English required;
Flexibility, team spirit.
