Senior Data Engineer

Your Mission

We are looking for a Confirmed Android Engineer to join us on the development of BlaBlaCar Daily on the Features squad known as DFE. You will work on technical challenges and product feature developments from the early conception meetings, development and test strategy, to deployment in production, observability, and support.

Your responsibilities

As a Confirmed Android Engineer, you’ll join a team of 7 Software Engineers working for our Features squad. Their goal is to deliver new user-facing features to improve user experience and increase carpooling usage. Your main responsibilities include:

1. Participating in the whole application development lifecycle, including early-stage product meetings, architecture design, development, tests strategy, deployment to production, monitoring, alerting, and support.
2. Supporting and collaborating with other engineers on the team to develop our Android projects together.
3. Adapting existing feature implementations to growing scalability, code quality, and testability challenges.
4. Being a technical referent for Android development best practices, clean architecture, and pattern usage.
5. Having strong experience in Android reactive development: Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flows, RxJava (being replaced).
6. Having experience with Clean Architecture & Modularization.
7. Possessing a testing mindset (JUnit, Mockk, instrumented tests).
8. Having full working proficiency in English.
9. Fitting with our BlaBlaPrinciples.
