Bouygues Energies & Services, a subsidiary of Equans Central Europe, is looking for its future Testing & Commissioning Manager (M/F) for its datacenter activities.
The Bouygues Energies and Services Large Projects Data Centers France Business Unit ensures for the EQUANS group the commercial development, preparation and execution management of large “turnkey” projects carried out through internal partnerships with our construction agencies.
The Major Projects Data Centers Business Unit is heavily involved in the French and European development of the Equans group around this skyrocketing market, whose demand continues to grow. Thus, the Major Projects Data Center Department, specialized in the design and construction of Data Centers, is looking for a Testing & Commissioning Manager. T&C and electrical technical expertise are cornerstones to the success of projects.
MANAGERIAL REPORTING LINE
The Technical Department has a team of 4 specialized members who benefit from long experience in the field and who seek for reinforcement to meet the demands of this growing market. Under the responsibility of the Head of T&C and Lead Engineering of the Technical Department, you will organize, coordinate, control and program test plans and commissioning activities of equipment and systems.
MISSIONS
Main duties (T&C Manager):
- Coordinate T&C stakeholders and interfaces, from the design phase to the completion of integrated site tests;
- Integrate client requirements in terms of method, performance indicators and testing program;
- Define the testing and commissioning strategy in order to meet the contractual objectives of the project in terms of schedule and validation;
- Demonstrate in a documented manner that the infrastructure meets the design intent, in terms of safety, functionality and performance;
- Check compliance to prerequisites during the construction phase;
- Ensure that the sequence of equipment start-up and testing is in accordance with the general schedule and safety rules;
- Act in a proactive manner to avoid late issues;
- Propose and follow up 3 weeks lookahead schedule (3WLA) during the T&C stage of projects;
- Propose methodological and technical optimizations during commercial phases;
- Monitor the test schedule and progress;
- Be in charge of the documentation aspect of T&C activities;
- Coordinate technical trades (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.): Each trade has its own test and commissioning engineers who is the preferred contact of the T&C Manager;
- Ensure the role of main contact for the Client and the Commissioning Agent on subjects related to the Testing and Commissioning during the execution phase.
Secondary duties:
- Contribute as an Electrical Specialist during the Commercial phase or Execution phase, to risk analysis, design support, equipment suppliers alignment toward demarcation of works;
Your main contacts will be the project directors, MEP managers and teams in charge of testing and commissioning. Internally, you will also interact with the technical team in charge of the design and costing, planners, and design managers. You will also deal with Client technical representatives, Commissioning Agents, main equipment suppliers (MV/LV, generators, UPS, Chillers and CRAHs, etc.).
PROFILE
Master’s degree in Electrical MV/LV or MEP, you have at least 6 years of experience in a similar position in the Industry.

Your technical skills:
- Your knowledge of the principles for the testing and commissioning of industrial infrastructures;
- Your knowledge of electrical installation Standards applicable in France;
- Your understanding of the principles for distributed control and supervision systems (Energy Management System, SCADA, BMS);
- Your knowledge regarding critical installations (redundant architectures, etc.);
- Your knowledge of the systems integrated into a building (access control, fire detection, security, etc);
- Your skills in terms of electrical design softwares (mainly CANECO HT/BT, knowledge of ETAP is a plus);
- Your skills on office tools (MS Excel, Powerpoint, etc), and the principles of electronic document management;
- Your ability to read and optimize a test schedule.
This position is based in Guyancourt, at the Bouygues Energies et Services headquarters. Frequent travels to sites are expected. Possible locations of activity: Ile de France, Marseille and possibly Europe.
