Job Overview

Aethos is looking for an amazing Chef (m/w/d) to join our team. The most successful candidate will have an authentic passion and be motivated by the opportunity of a summer season in Corsica! This is a truly unique and fun opportunity for the right candidate!

Responsibilities:

  1. You will be in charge of the quality of our cuisine for our 24-seat restaurant, in complete autonomy.
  2. You will intuitively incorporate local products into a seasonal menu, working closely with the group's Corporate F&B manager.
  3. You will be responsible for purchasing, inventory, and budget monitoring for the kitchen, ensuring profitability.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent working knowledge of official French hygiene and safety standards (HACCP diploma required).
  2. Experience in a restaurant kitchen of minimum 2 years.
  3. Autonomous, organized, and rigorous.
  4. Passionate and positive, with a creative and modern approach to cuisine.
  5. Enthusiastic and motivated.

About Aethos Corsica – U Palazzu Restaurant

Aethos Corsica is located in Haute-Corse, in a 17th-century palace near Saint Florent and was recently completely restored to its former glory. The palace sits atop the spectacular village of Oletta, one of the most beautiful villages in Corsica, with views sweeping across the entire northern bay of Saint-Florent and its beaches.

Aethos Corsica brings charm and tranquility to those wishing to experience understated luxury in a historic natural frame. For summer we now need a standout team that can bring life into these walls. That's why we're looking for you! A team player who doesn't value hierarchy, but personality and authenticity.

U Palazzu restaurant is the epitome of the Aethos food philosophy 'conscious food for conscious people'. Our ingredients are locally sourced from producers that abide by the ethos of better eco practices. This philosophy creates a food experience which is authentic, healthy, and delicious!

Adapted from the original CECI restaurant in our Umbrian sister hotel Aethos Saragano, we offer a modern approach on Italian classics, with a local Corsican twist.

  • 6 days on, 1 full day off (weekly closing)

€2,200 - €2,400 a month
