GENERAL SUMMARY
The Manager, Group Sales – France is responsible for generating contracted room revenue from the French speaking region of Europe with global distribution across all Preferred Hotels & Resorts (PH&R) collections. This role requires a balance of sales skills, business development acumen, and strong organizational abilities, as the Sales Manager is expected to generate revenue, develop new business, manage accounts effectively, and support the overall goals of the group sales team. The position involves developing and executing strategic plans across primary corporate, incentive, and third-party meeting planners, while maintaining in-depth knowledge of the PH&R Brand and Collections.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
Under the general supervision of the Vice President, Group Sales – Europe and Global Sales, Middle East & Africa, the Sales Manager, Group - France works with the Senior Sales Director, Group – Europe, the Account Manager Team, Group Sales, the Marketing Team, Hotel Members, and Clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in hospitality, typically acquired through a university degree in business or hotel management, along with at least three years of hotel sales experience. The ideal individual will excel at business development, possess a good grasp of international travel and cultures, and have the ability and desire to build strong relationships. Key to success in this role is the ability to communicate value to clients, gain trust in a consultative role, a knack for storytelling to create interest, an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to multitask. Proficiency in time management and a proven track record of uncovering new business opportunities are important assets. This position offers the chance to leverage hospitality expertise and sales acumen to drive our growth in a dynamic, global environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This role follows a hybrid working model, with a base out of the Paris office. Associates are generally expected to work from the office 2-3 days per week, allowing for a balance of in-person collaboration and flexible remote working. Office space is beautifully as well as functionally decorated including all required technology tools. Employee is seated most of the time. Travel is estimated at approximately 25 % of time as appropriate to support the overall expectation of the position.
