Job Title: Learning Manager at AXA Partners

Location: Balma (France), Shannon (Ireland), or Helsinki (Finland)

About the position:

We are looking for a Learning Manager who will be responsible for designing and implementing the global learning strategy for AXA Partners CLP. Working closely with other departments, you will oversee a team of Learning specialists and ensure that necessary technical and soft skills are provided to our organization. You will also participate in projects involving new learning methods and new ways of working for employees.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Designing and implementing world-class learning for operations in all regions.
  2. Creating an onboarding program for all new CLP employees.
  3. Translating operational strategy into a learning strategy to ensure minimum skill requirements within operations are met and improved.
  4. Coordinating the delivery of training and development programs, including technical training and operational skills.
  5. Ensuring the quality of training delivery and fostering team innovation.
  6. Involvement in the creation and delivery of online learning packages.
  7. Supporting Operations leadership in executing new projects.
  8. Acting as a subject matter expert on related topics.
  9. Fostering innovation and testing new learning solutions.
  10. Remaining flexible to adapt to changes in the company.

People management and engagement:

Creating a positive work environment where employees feel autonomous and encouraged to develop involves modelling AXA's values in daily leadership, working closely with HR, team leaders, and Operations Directors to identify training and development needs, and implementing best practices to drive operational excellence. Key aspects include daily performance management, conducting regular team meetings and individual interviews, promoting two-way communication channels, supporting problem-solving, and fostering a values-based, innovative, and continuous improvement culture.

Controls and compliance:

Standardizing new learning materials across all regions, ensuring compliance and regulatory training offerings are completed on time, and managing the learning team's budget.

About You:

  1. 5+ years’ experience in insurance, financial services, or similar industry, ideally in an Operations environment.
  2. Previous management experience leading a successful team to achieve KPI targets.
  3. Experience in designing and facilitating large scale learning initiatives.
  4. Cross-functional teamwork capabilities and experience inspiring and challenging stakeholders to try out new ways of learning.
  5. Proven record of driving performance management.
  6. Cross-functional experience, working in matrix organizations.
  7. Flexibility and adaptability to changing environments and needs.
  8. Experience in the design, delivery, development, and analysis of training.
  9. Fluency in English.
  10. Awareness of Project Management methodologies.
  11. Background in competency assessment and the evaluation of training.
  12. Exposure in the insurance or financial services industry.
  13. Curious and positive mindset with a high interest in new technologies and new ways of learning.
  14. Leading and managing teams with compassion, encouraging creativity and diverse ideas.
  15. Capable of motivating others, inspiring ideas, and fostering supportive and diverse teams.
