The Global Real Estate department is responsible for managing Ubisoft's real estate portfolio. As a Real Estate Specialist, you will help the team in the development and implementation of the global real estate strategy.

In this position, you will support our local entities (+90 offices in 30 countries) in their local initiatives, with different levels of involvement depending on the level of local expertise.

Your main mission will be to do real estate project management, which means supporting our entities from market research, site selection, and building business cases to negotiation and lease negotiations. It also involves mitigating risks by ensuring all projects follow the framework of the global real estate rules and processes.

Your main tasks are:

  • Carry out real estate studies, including market studies and trends, internal/external benchmarks;
  • In partnership with the local team, participate in the definition of the needs and the structuration of the project with support from other central teams such as IT and Security;
  • Orchestrate project management and involve the adequate stakeholders such as Finance, Security, IT, Workplace, and Legal;
  • Build strong business cases taking into account OPEX (mainly real estate and facility management costs) and CAPEX (mainly construction/fit-out/IT costs);
  • Lead financial and contract/lease negotiations with landlords in full collaboration with the local entity and external lawyers;
  • For the projects led by the Global Real Estate team, prepare and manage project presentations to a large audience with relevant stakeholders from different departments;
  • Anticipate lease renewals following an annual roadmap and support local entities in their long-term real estate strategy;
  • Provide regular visibility on ongoing projects, status, and risks through effective and consistent reporting and budget/savings tracking;
  • Contribute to transversal initiatives and the improvement of the real estate department's tools & processes;
  • Implement environmental initiatives in collaboration with CSR departments to improve the environmental footprint of the group portfolio.

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you need to have strong experience in a similar position or in a buyer position, with an international dimension, acquired by working in a corporate real estate department or as an advisor for clients (tenant representation).

  • You are recognized for your professional efficiency and your capacity to challenge needs, projects, and people;
  • You are comfortable leading high-stakes/high-impact projects such as lease renegotiation, moves, closing/opening locations, and buy/sale buildings;
  • You have excellent communication, sales, and negotiation skills and the ability to work with different levels of management;
  • You excel in building financial models/assumptions and business cases to structure deals;
  • You have experience in project management, problem-solving, financial, and legal skills;
  • You are comfortable working on multiple projects and have the ability to think outside the box;
  • You are fluent in English, accustomed to working in an international environment, and able to think global/act local.
