Job title of the line manager: Engineering Services Manager
Responsibilities:
To provide coaching, interim management, and operational diagnostic input.
To work autonomously on contract bid invitations.
To work autonomously on managing complex (multi-site / multi-country) new logistics business startup projects.
To lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team.
To conduct quantitative and qualitative logistics flow chain optimization studies within their field of expertise.
Scope of Activities:
Provide support to operations in transformation phases:
Reduce costs on non-value added operations.
Manage crisis management.
Participate in business restructuring and its performance.
Manage operational change as part of a job-saving plan.
Support projects such as company mergers/acquisitions.
Manage the budget and income statement in a transition.
Coordinate the teams in the framework of responses to calls for tenders:
Understand the customer need: analysis of specifications, meetings with and visits to the customer.
Be responsible for the construction of the logistics solution to respond to a project.
Develop the sales strategy with sales teams.
Mobilize and coordinate the company's various participants involved in the response (sales, quality, security, human resources, finance, information systems, legal, etc.).
Validate the technical and financial dimensioning.
Participate in presenting bids to customers and associated negotiations.
Be responsible for the start-up of a new activity:
Lead the project team starting up the new service.
Manage the project’s NRC budget and the change request process.
Manage implementation of the designed solution.
Ensure the definition, ordering, and testing of the resources to be implemented (HR, storage solutions, production solutions, logistics equipment, IS, etc.).
Analyze and solve problems encountered.
Coordinate the implementation of procedures, training, reporting tools, and performance monitoring (KPIs).
In support and at the request of operations:
Take charge of the analysis and scoping of an identified problem.
Analyze solutions and action plans with the operational teams.
Monitor the implementation of actions.
Optimization:
Carry out studies relating to the logistics processes of customer sites and Group sites with a view to optimizing storage, flows, and organization.
Conduct quantitative and qualitative studies of the logistics flow chain from the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data, from a rationalization and optimization perspective (quality, profitability, deadlines, safety).
Carry out operational audits on the logistics flow chain.
Support the implementation of new logistics systems.
