Job Description :

We are seeking a Senior Medical Affairs Leader to join a leading organization focusing on global medical strategy for rare diseases (e.g., elafibranor). This is a highly urgent hire to help design and implement medical strategies that drive the successful launch of cutting-edge treatments in rare liver diseases. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience leading global product launches, deep cross-functional collaboration, and a strong leadership background.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Lead the development and execution of medical strategy for rare disease and oncology products, including elafibranor.
2. Design and implement medical launch plans and ensure their alignment with global strategies.
3. Oversee the execution of key milestones, working closely with cross-functional teams (clinical, regulatory, commercial).
4. Lead a team of two direct reports, fostering innovation, collaboration, and strong leadership.
5. Build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external experts in oncology and rare diseases.
6. Maintain close alignment with global market strategies for successful product launches in the European and international markets.

Qualifications :

1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in Medical Affairs with a leadership background in rare diseases (such as liver disease).
2. Proven expertise in global product launches, with hands-on experience in designing and executing medical strategies.
3. Strong understanding of French healthcare regulations, medical policies, and market dynamics.
4. PhD / PharmD / MD qualification preferred.
5. Experience in team leadership, with at least 5 years of leading cross-functional teams.
6. Excellent communication skills and an ability to mentor junior team members.
