Freight Broker (Operating) Agent

Our customers are the food and beverage manufacturing industries. We specialize in food processing, high-speed packaging lines, supporting utility systems, as well as automation and control.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Electrical Designer will work as part of a team with other engineers and draftsmen to complete engineering mandates for food plants in the areas of Process (heat exchangers, CIP, sanitary pumps, control valves, etc.), Utilities (compressors, chillers, water towers, kettles, etc.) and Packaging (conveyors, bottlers, labellers, palletizers, stretch wrappers, machine safety, production efficiency audits, etc.). As an active member of our engineering team, the candidate is mainly called upon to work on the development of plans for various industrial projects and participate in the various stages of project design, detailed drawings, site surveys, and supervision of implementation work. The candidate must be bilingual (oral and written) for out of province client communication, and must also be able to travel anywhere in North America.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Drawing for control and power panel design, AutoCAD and AutoCAD ELEC;
2. Concept and single-line diagrams;
3. Conduit routing diagrams and distribution plan;
4. General layout of electrical components for process control (tanks, pumps, valves, piping, etc.), utilities (kettle, water tower, chiller, compressor, etc.) and mechanics (automated production lines, HVAC, lighting, etc.);
5. Equipment and instrumentation list;
6. Apply and develop the company's drawing and quality standards;
7. Estimate and meet drawing hours for a project.

Skills Required:

1. College diploma in Electrical Engineering or any other training deemed equivalent;
2. Relevant experience in engineering drawing, specializing in electrical design, control and power;
3. Knowledge of the food industry is an asset;
4. Natural aptitude for teamwork and knowledge sharing;
5. Experience in consulting engineering (an asset);
6. Sense of initiative, attention to detail;
7. Ability to manage priorities while respecting deadlines;
8. Innovative, organized and responsible;
9. Good command of various computer tools, such as MS Office and AutoDesk Suite;
10. Knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Elec drawing software, an asset.
