Four Seasons Hotel George V

Just off the Champs-Elysées, Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris is superbly located in the heart of the most fashionable quarter of Paris. Fronting on Avenue George V, it is ideally situated near the business district and major tourist attractions. The 244 rooms hotel includes 59 suites. Classic French furnishings and Parisian style create an elegant residential atmosphere. The hotel's 5 Michelin starred restaurants serve refined cuisine in an elegant and warm atmosphere.

We are looking for our Parisian property for an experienced and qualified Director of Rooms (M/F). The candidate must hold the required authorization to work in a European country. A fluent level of English and French are required. Position based in Paris.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  1. Exceptional interpersonal, organization, and communications skills.
  2. Ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Proactive, creative, and enjoys working in a team environment.
  4. Previous experience in the same role is required.

Essential Functions

  1. Organize to manage the day-to-day life of the Housing Department, both operationally and administratively.
  2. Direct and monitor the activities of the various departments within the Lodging Department (Concierge, Guest Services, Front Desk, Guest Relations, Housekeepers, Linen Room, Switchboard and Spa) to ensure Four Seasons quality standards, policies, and procedures are met.
  3. Prepare and conduct annual performance reviews of Lodging Department Managers, in accordance with hotel policy, and inform Management of any developments within his or her Department.
  4. Participate in the development of the team through personalized follow-up of each member of his/her team and by proposing training actions to improve individual performance.
  5. Conduct recruitment interviews in accordance with Four Seasons Quality Criteria and ensure that staff are well informed of the Department's objectives and the Hotel's rules.
  6. Monitor the proper management of the Department's payroll; regularly monitor the Lodging workforce to ensure that none of the Lodging departments are in trouble.
  7. Establish rational annual revenue and expenditure plans for the Housing Department, focusing on maximizing departmental profit and cost control.
  8. Contribute to the development of the hotel's annual marketing plan by leveraging all departments to increase revenue and improve the hotel's image.
  9. Work on the overall strategy of the hotel as a member of the Planning Committee.
  10. Work closely with Reservations, Front Desk, and Sales to maximize occupancy, rates, and therefore revenue.
  11. Communicate with all departments of the hotel on business fluctuations and developments, special guests, and groups.
  12. Develop excellent rapport with guests, regulars, and group contacts to provide quality and personalized customer service; follow up with each guest during their stay.
  13. Ensure that there is daily room attention and follow-up on all guest requests.
