Main responsibilities :
- Conducting research
- Foundational Research : Conduct foundational research to understand the broader context of user behaviors, needs, and motivations.
- Data Collection : Utilize methods such as surveys, interviews, usability testing, and field observations to gather qualitative and quantitative user experience data.
- Participant Recruitment : Identify and recruit appropriate participants for research studies, ensuring a diverse and representative sample.
Analyzing Data :- Data Analysis : Identify patterns, trends, and insights from research data.
- Synthesis : Combine findings from multiple sources into comprehensive reports and presentations to support design decisions.
Developing User Personas and Journey Maps :- User Personas : Create detailed personas to represent different user types based on research findings.
- Journey Maps : Develop journey maps to illustrate the user experience and identify key touchpoints and pain points.
Supporting Ideation and Prototyping :- Facilitative Brainstorming and consensus building : Contribute research insights during ideation sessions.
- Cross-functional Work : Collaborate with senior researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate research findings into product strategies and designs.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Ensure effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders throughout the research process.
Presenting Findings :- Reporting & Communication : Present findings to stakeholders to facilitate evidence-based decision-making via clear and actionable research reports and presentations.
Learning and Tools :- Continuous Learning : Stay updated on the latest user research techniques and tools.
- Skill Enhancement : Apply new knowledge and tools to enhance research quality and effectiveness.
Tools and Skills :- Visual Communication : Create compelling research artifacts such as journey maps, personas, and user stories using tools like Adobe, FigJam, or similar.
- Technical Proficiency : Proficiency in using various research and design tools to create and present research findings effectively: Dovetail, Usertesting, etc.
- Analytical Skills : Strong ability to analyze and synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting research findings and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Problem-solving : Ability to think critically and solve problems based on research insights.
Experience : 5-7 years of experience conducting research directly informing digital development work and iteration cycles.Research Skills : Proficiency in various research methodologies, including surveys, interviews, usability testing, and field observations.Education : Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or similar).
