Digital Asset Archiving Staff

The Big Dipper Digital Content and Design, Inc. is a subsidiary of ABS-CBN Corporation, in charge of operating and maintaining the company's Media Asset Management system which includes:

• Converting Analog Video Materials to Digital Format
• Video Quality Checking of Ingested Video
• Cataloging of Ingested Materials
• Providing Transcription/Translation/Synopsis Writing
• Processing of Multi-Format Dubbing

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Digital Asset Archiving Staff is responsible for the end-to-end process of migrating from LTO-4 to LTO-8 and uploading to cloud-based storage system.
• Media Preparation

1. Validates the list and prepares the LTO tapes identified for LTO migration and archiving.
2. Loads the identified tapes subject for migration to media library.

1. Process the retrieval of assets from LTO to cache storage using the script.
2. Verifies the completeness of retrieved assets and processes the folder management.
3. Process the LTO-8 archiving.
4. Process the cloud uploading/archiving.
5. Process the validation created in LTO-8 and the assets uploaded in cloud storage.
6. Process the analog conversion of not migrated assets and ingest in DALET.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: College Graduate (4-year course), Any Computer related courses
• Skills:

1. Has the ability to create reports and analyze results
2. Basic Computer operations
3. Flexible and can work with minimum supervision
4. Good oral and written communication skills
5. Can work under pressure
6. Keen with details
